Serial sticker or metal plate
According to resellers, Chanel bags made since 2021 carry a metal plate with an embedded chip instead of a serial sticker and card. According to Madison Avenue Couture, the chip can only be scanned in Chanel boutiques. On older bags, ask for a clear photo of the serial sticker. A code is a record to compare, nothing more.
